Barr Creek Hydro Electric Building

Project Details

The need for BC to grow its current hydroelectric infrastructure, created an opportunity for a new Hydroelectric Facility outside Tahsis BC.  Located in the heart of Vancouver Island, special trucks and techniques were utilized to ensure this building not only could be delivered to this secluded site, but also erected to the quality Ferro has become known for.

This building included a 20 tonne top running crane system, which took advantage of our pre-engineered purpose built frames.  Furthermore, a wood frame control room was designed and built to allow workers a safe and secure area to commence their work.  The building was further designed as a post disaster building.
