Two Shoothouse Project

Service Type: Supply & Install
Location: Petawawa ON
Completion: 2010
Size: 6900 SQ. FT.

Project Details

This unique project is situated at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Petawawa, Ontario. Ferro Buildings won the competitive contract to supply and install the pre-engineered metal buildings for two separate shoothouses.  The Shoothouses were specifically designed for the Department of National Defence and their troops to practice tactical maneuvers and extraction from a specific location.  Each building had rubber lined walls, which are movable into a number of various configurations inside both the Commercial and Residential Shoothouse facilities.  The bottom half of the walls were kept open for access to the facilities.  The upper walls and roof were lined with ¼” plate steel, which was furred out with a plywood liner on the inside and metal cladding for the walls and standing seam roof outside.
