Industrial Building Addition

Expanding an Existing Facility with a New Prefab Building
Price Developments’ client, Supreme International Ltd, was looking to expand production capacity at their existing manufacturing facility. The addition needed to match the height and slope of the existing facility while also incorporating a four-foot setback from the existing structure to accommodate some of the subtleties of Supreme’s existing building. Inside, the addition needed to house an overhead loading crane. But before any of this could happen, the foundation had to be laid by October 1st – before the first frost set in which created tight timelines. Price Developments’ attention to detail and commitment to client service resulted in a successful project completed on time and on budget.
Detailed Planning, Engineering & Consulting Services
Ferro worked closely with Price Developments to ensure that they had the necessary components in place before the October 1st deadline. To that point and beyond, we provided detailed planning, engineering and consulting services to ensure that the best approaches were taken to address the unique challenges of the project. For instance, cantilevered structural members were installed to join the existing roof with that of the single-slope addition. We also provided new wall framing to continuously clad wall sheeting from the new structure to the existing one. The result was a truly seamless addition, delivered exactly when we said it would be.
